    Scheduled AV scans not running

      Hello all,

       

      I'm having an issue with scheduled antivirus scans not running on Windows 7 clients.  I've tried it on 3 separate clients; I'm running 8.8 sp4.  I schedule the scan and watch in the task manager, but nothing ever kicks-off.  XP clients work as they should: I get the AV scan window as expected.

       

      Any help is much appreciated!

            I ended up opening a ticket with support.  After a few weeks they basically told me it wasn't going to be fixed in 8.8.  This is an excerpt of the email I received:

             

            "Engineering has investigated this issue and it will not be fixed until the next release of 9.0 currently scheduled for 3rd quarter of 2011. You will need to upgrade to the new version when it is released if you want this functionality in Windows 7"

             

            Which was fine with me because we plan on upgrading to 9 this summer anyway.  I hope this helps!
