I am using LDMS 9.0. I created a Agent software which has custom data form in it and istalled the agent software to a remote PC . The agent installation was sucessful. Then I clicked custom Data form in client machine and fill in the details.
Then I ran the Ldiscn32 in client machine for extracting the scn file to copy under the Ldscan folder in server. Below is the screenshot for reference.
After this I took the inv.scn file and then copied to the Ldsacn folder and magically it got diasppeared and I was able to find the computer in the all devices. Then I right click for the inventory and I was able to see all the inventory , except the data I entered in the Custom Data form.
Am I missing anything, I need the asset tag number entered to be reflected under the Custom Data field in inventory. Please help me asap. I called the customer support but they advised me to post the problem in community. Hope some one can answer soon..
In version 9 you need to allow the new data to be stored in the database. On the core you want to go to Configure LANDesk Services, select the Inventory Tab, and click on Unknown Items. Here you can allow the new items. The next time the client does an inventory scan the data will appear in the inventory.
