You can do this relatively easily via the administration component in Console. Just expand the roles branch and select which role you want to update, followed by the action of Add/remove Users.
I would advise you to test a user who has the selfserviceguest role as this role seems to have more privileges that you might want for an end user.
I know this post is a bit older, but it is pretty much the same question I have but for different reasons. I would like to have a sql script that would add end users to SelfServiceGuest role on 7.4 so that when new users are added I don't need to manually add them in every time. We have all our users added in but for upkeep I would just like it to be automated.
Hi Anthony, you can use the existing add role script and just amend the role name. Usually this is set to "portalenduser" but you just change the name to "SelfServiceGuest". I have attached a copy here and with any script, take a back up and test in your dev environment first. You may want to check with support in case they have issued a new version also.
