          Have you try to log into the machine, and restart the provisioning task again?

            Hi Billy,

            The target machine is always logged or even I log in to the machine and wait for a long long time. nth happen then.

            ALSO, another problem always occur, I run a task and discover the process have not completely finish.

            so I try again and the task always show Machine successfully discovered. but nth happen in target machine.

            I've check the task manager , the SDClient is 00 processing.

            How can I solve those annoying problems.

            Thanks~

              If you are trying a provisioning task on this machine, check to see if you have any unfinished provisioning task that target this same machine.  Also check to see if the agent is working properly on this particular machine you are having issue with.  Try reinstall the agent on this machine.

                Hi Billy,

                I've Checked it! The agent is good. the task is good.

                The delayed task sometimes will need be waiting for several mins that can start again. sometimes it will be waiting for a long long time...

                Recently I've discover the status in other task will show "Task queue",

                I've found the SDCLIENT.exe, Taskqueue.exe is remained in task manager process list. I tried to kill them all and start the task again, but still failed.

                I need to delete the schedule task, reset hash, and recreate schedule again that can make it right.

                Why?

                Confusing....

                  I found this out somewhere on the forum, it suppose to delete the local client database and clear any local scheduler on the machine.

                  [MACHINES]
                  REMEXEC0=cmd /c del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Database" /q
                  REMEXEC1=cmd /c del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\landesk\files" /q
                  REMEXEC2=cmd /c del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\vulScan\*.xml" /q
                  REMEXEC3=cmd /c del "%LDMS_LOCAL_DIR%\..\sdmcache\landesk\files\*.xml" /q
                  REMEXEC4=net stop "Landesk Policy Invoker"
                  REMEXEC5="%LDMS_LOCAL_DIR%\..\clientdbutil.exe" /create
                  REMEXEC6="%LDMS_LOCAL_DIR%\..\clientdbutil.exe" /validate
                  REMEXEC7=net start "Landesk Policy Invoker"
                  REMEXEC8="%LDMS_LOCAL_DIR%\..\policy.sync.exe"
                  REMEXEC9="%LDMS_LOCAL_DIR%\..\policy.client.invoker.exe"
                  REMEXEC10=taskkill /F /IM localsch.exe
                  REMEXEC11=taskkill /F /IM sdclient.exe
                  REMEXEC12=taskkill /F /IM pds.exe
                  REMEXEC13=taskkill /F /IM residentAgent.exe

                  However I remove some of the local database delete part and below seem to work faily well, when I have a orphan or hung policy task on a machine.  I would delete the task on the console, run the script below on the client machine, and schedule a task on it again and normally it works right away.

                  [MACHINES]
                  REMEXEC1=taskkill /F /IM localsch.exe
                  REMEXEC2=taskkill /F /IM sdclient.exe
                  REMEXEC3=taskkill /F /IM pds.exe
                  REMEXEC4=taskkill /F /IM residentAgent.exe
                  REMEXEC5=taskkill /F /IM policy.client.invoker.exe
                  REMEXEC6=net start "Landesk Policy Invoker"

                    Hi Billy,

                    [MACHINES]
                    REMEXEC1=taskkill /F /IM localsch.exe
                    REMEXEC2=taskkill /F /IM sdclient.exe
                    REMEXEC3=taskkill /F /IM pds.exe
                    REMEXEC4=taskkill /F /IM residentAgent.exe
                    REMEXEC5=taskkill /F /IM policy.client.invoker.exe
                    REMEXEC6=net start "Landesk Policy Invoker"

                    That means above execution files are all relative with provisioning process.

                    I'll try later with your method, see whether it is work or not.

                    Thanks so much.
