The Service Catalog is searched by using a Lucene search engine like the Knowledge Base is too. The service which builds this collection is the Background Processing Service. There will be a path specifying the location of the Lucene collections and I wonder if this is the problem. It appears the component link for the Service Catalog are unavailable if running the console in 32bit. It must be run on our Web Server with consolex64.exe, I can recreate it if I run it on our App server now which is 32bit.
