It just means that the app pool is trying to shutdown (default is 90 seconds) and it can't in that amount of time so it is basically killed. There could be a lot of reasons for this. Underpowered server, IIS issues, DB slowness, DB fragmentation, bug, etc... First thing I would do before any perfmon type monitoring is to defrag the DB http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-4362 before messing witht he app pool settings. To be perfectly honest, lately I'm somewhat confused with app pools and landesk. In 8.x we were told to change the app pools settings, create other app pools etc..then we were told just use the defaults, etc...
How many nodes do you have?
What version of LANDesk/SP?
Version of SQL/SP?
These answeres will help us.
It seems to have stopped since I had to do a server reboot the other day.
However I will tae your advice and get our SQL guys to do a defrag on the DB, it's probably well overdue anyway.
Which server core or SQL?
The DB is stored on a different box to the core.
Sounds good. Keep and I eye on it and if it looks like it was a temporary issue, please close this thread.
Thanks, closed (I think!)
