    Help with Lenovo Thin Installer

    Rookie

      Hi,

I am having problems with Thin Installer running correctly with Windows XP Image deployment using LANDesk provisioning.

I have followed the instructions on this site and have it working fine for Windows 7 http://community.landesk.com/support/message/50389#50389

Below is the error message I am getting back.

      action index=1200

      SUCCESS

      action index=1201

      SUCCESS

      action index=1202

      SUCCESS

      action index=1203

      SUCCESS

      action index=1204

      FAILED

      error:[80001000H]File c:\temp\ThinInstaller\ThinInstaller.exe not found.

      Execute result:

      return:1

      output:

I am not sure what’s going on here because the files are all in the temp folder.  Thin Installer loads fine, downloads the relevant drivers and installs them.  But right at the end the job fails with the error message above.

I have also noticed that the task to map the drive completes successfully (used for the Thin Installer repository and to copy the Thin Installer files) however it remains disconnected when I try to browse to it from My Computer.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Below are the settings I use for Thininstaller.  Be careful with the Command-line parameters, I believe that Thininstaller is very particular with case-sensitvitiy and location of each parameter.  I pretty much copied this from their manual.  I'm no Thininstaller expert.

            Target path and filename:

            c:\Program Files (x86)\ThinInstaller\Thininstaller.exe

            Command-line parameters:

/CM -search A -action INSTALL -noicon -repository \\snnyw-landesk\drivers\lenovo -includerebootpackages 1,3,4 -noreboot

            Working directory:

            c:\Program Files (x86)\ThinInstaller\

            Expected return value:

            Any
