There is a certain amount of information held in this table but it isn't completely accurate. For example, you can sometimes see more than one record for one user if they are performing certain actions:
There will be many improvements in this area in the next release as concurrent licence management is being implemented.

I was trying to do the same thing. I wanted to pull the analyst and put it in the resolution text for a custom action item that resolves an incident. I tried to use a calculation but the data in the table just isn't enough. I believe I created an enhancement request for that.
