Just to clarify, when you run an inventory scan the machine doesn't show up until the next day? Are you positive that you are running a "full" scan? meaning you have the /F command. By default, when you run a manual scan from the machine, it is not a "full" scan. I would also check how you have your agent configured. Is the agent configured to "Perform a full inventory scan during installation"?
After issue the command ldiscn32.exe /F /SYNC, the machine shows up few minutes later.
Yes, agent is configured to " Perform a full inventory scan during installation" in the start page of "Agent Configuration"
And bothe files (Server to Client: LDAPPL3.INI and Client to Server: invdelta.dat) in the client machines shows the correct name, size and verion of MS office file (PPINTL.DLL)
I did install an appication (says winzip) for testing.
After installation, we make an inventory scan for this client PC and we can find the correct name, size verion in file invdelta.dat in that PC.
We can also find the winzip under the clinet device inventory in Network view ->.. -> all device
Then in Software license monitoring, and in product tab, we create product group to include this winzip application by choosing name, size and version from Product Detecton (a new correct name, size and version is creaed by LANDesk).
However, even we click the re-calculate license, there is not record found under Software License Monitoring.
Shall we do a full inventory scan?
I can set it in hourly base.
In the console's network view, click Configure > Services > Inventory screen.
set the "Performance Maintenance at"
