    e-mail alerting in ver.9

    Rookie

      Hi,

Is there somebody who use e-mail alerting ?I can not set it up.I checked SMTP functionality via telnet - 0.K.

But I can not send e-mail via command prompt according to LANDesk document:

      sendemail -p alert_id=a.b.c.d -p alert_gmttime="2001-01-01 12:00:00" -- nonExtended=1 "server=smtp.example.com" "port=25" "replyaddr=example.user@landesk.com" "addresslist=example.user@landesk.com" "subject=this is for me %T" "body=Body: %T Test %%T"

There is only error message - Email failed to send - in sendemail.log .

      Could anyone help me?

I have got the same problem.

It's a known problem by Landesk Support. You need to create a case in order to get a patch.

Here is a copy of the landesk support case answer :

          Hi

I found a bug very similar to this. There is a patch for that issue. It should fix your problem. You need to install first the CCP519 then the CR15952-90.

Before installing patch, Landesk recommend to make a backup of the database and of the core server. For the patch installation, please read the readme file.

          Regards,
