This is actually a Managed Planet issue and you should call us, check the web site for the support number.  What it looks like is that the Managed Planet Task Scheduler service cannot connect to the database.  Please restart the service to see if that will solve it.  Also, can you get into the Managed Planet tools in the console?  They use the same connection string and you should have the same problems.

Thanks.  I have raised the problem to ManagedPlanet support and waiting their response.

Similar problem. Posting additional info (A) for anyone that is looking for the solution and (B) for LANDesk since they are working more closely with MP.

We just found that MP created 32GB of log files with similar entries, which filled up all of our second hard drive where MP had been installed. Had we installed LANDesk\MP on the C drive, this would have crashed our server with no disk space left:

ERROR 9/6/2011 12:21:52 PM: InsertComputerPatches: Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.MPComputerPatchInsert'.    at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand.ExecuteReaderInternal(CommandBehavior behavior, String method)

Our current solution is to disable everything MP and delete the log files. We have just had too many issues on our new LD9 SP2 cores with MP to utilize it at this point.

Just an FYI - We were alerted to this problem with helpdesk and site analysts calling in stating that Inventory Scans and Vulnerability Scans stopped working.

We will take a look at this and address it.  We can't have log files filling up like that.  As of right now disable the Managed Planet Task Listener service.  We will have a patch later today and be releasing an Update 2 very soon.

It seems like our problem cannot be fixed after investigating by MP Engineer.  We still get the issue.

Do you know who you talked to?  It should have eventually ended up with me or another guy and I have not heard about it.

I just talked with Dave E in person. Our team does not believe this issue occurred until we attempted to upgrade to MP release 9.02.

Dave is going to check out our install directly.

I'd suggest calling MP back and getting the issue escallated. Then get a case# or person and private message Dave E the info.

Even though this is MP related, MP and LANDesk have now signed an agreement together and are going to be working more closely. Many of us search LD forums first for the problems, so its nice to have posts like this that point to MP or whomever so others can also know who to contact.

We talked with Brent Green and Michael Stout before.
