Is there any reason that the field is mandatory? Is it the Incident attribute that you have on the window? If so and this populates automatically with the incident ID once the task is saved/auto created could you not make the field non mandatory and read only?
They probably created another window used it to set up the process and then changed/removed it. You could set up a window for the SA account which doesn't have these fields when you login as SA (or another account). Check the windows rules and views in windows designer in case something like that has been set up or set one up that does what you need.
i've created an authorisation email reminder which works brilliantly, attached is a screenshot of the reminder body text which gives the link direct into the job via the web portal.
With regards to the other mandatory field. What it is actually a drop down of? Do you really need it in your new tasks and does it have to be mandatory. Look in the Window manager on form to see what object its belonging to? If it were me, i'd try to remove it unless it was absolutely neccessary.
I'm no expert like the others on this post, but I hope it helps
Thanks for that, I'll give it a go, based on your info - I'm not entirely sure why that field was mandatory, it did seem a little unecessary.
