have you applied any of the MCP's?
If so, did you apply them to the clients?
Are you pushing a batch package? It sounds like the Core is waiting on a status returned from the client. I've seen this in batch file packages that were improperly formated.
We had this also with Batch Packages before applying the latest MCP Patches.
So try to apply the latest Patches to the Core and the Clients.

I haven't applied any MCP's to the core for a month or so.
I am not pushing a 'batch package' but standard .exe or .msi 'Scheduled Tasks'.....
Currently trying a simple exe package (Firefox setup!), Machine Successfully Discovered, Task MAnager on local PC shows the setup as a process but nothing happens. Just hangs....
Try to check, if you have applied all MCP Patches (if you ask support you will get also already 0519 I think):
Is this happen on different Clients or always the same?
Try also to update the Agent on the Client.
Any Security Software installed?
Yes this applies to different pc's it appears.
The agent is updated with the MCP in the link you supplied.
Some Tasks also hang with the 'result' of 'Task queued at client for execution'.
