We do the same and it does work.
Let me take a look at my settings and see if I am doing anything differently
Thanks James. The odd thing is I'm pretty sure I tested it a couple weeks ago and it worked. Today, it doesnt. Now I'm questioning whether I just tested the virtual directory on the core or if I was actually off-network when I tested.
In ISS, what are you using for the physical path?
I am using:
That is the FQDN to the share
I also have a system account that has read / write access for the credentials
Also, in your AGENT configuration (click on the "Standard LANDesk Agent" branch when in your agent, what are you using for the core name, it should be the FQDN
James, I'm using FQDN across the board as well.
Did you do anything with the firewall in your DMZ to allow access to your packages/patch server or just allow access to your core?
James, I fixed the problem. For the Patch Location URL, I was using a FQDN alias for my core server. I switched it to the Core Server FQDN and now I'm able to patch via the gateway using the virtual directory on the core.
Glad that it is working...
