We are attempting to implament hardware independent imaging with Lenovo and IBM systems using LDMS 8.8. The drivers are being copied accross and installing except for the chipset driver for the M55. It is the correct driver and will install when you do it manualy. Post mini setup I recieve an "intel(R) 946gz parameter problem" . The machine in question is a lenovo M55e model 9637J4U. Does anyone have any suggestions?
You can try to not copy the drivers down to the machine, but copy the installer. Then use CMDLINES.TXT to launch the install with the required switches. This has fixed simular issues in the past.
I concur about the cmdlines.txt
We're a Dell shop and have to run a silent setup through cmdlines.txt for the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility Driver
Just wanted to note that if you lay down a cmdlines.txt through Provisioning, do it before the "configure target OS" action. The CTOS action will append to the cmdlines.txt
