Personally I'd descrbe that as a bug, but I suspect your support team will ask you to raise an ER.
You could try creating a Reference List instead as this should show text in the Audit Trail instead of a number.
Hi, thanks for the reply. How easy to replace the drop down list with a reference list? Because the form was created earlier and actively being used in production.
It shouldn't be overly difficult, though you would need an outage.
The basic steps would be-
- Create the reference list object
- Link the reference list to Incident
- Replace the drop down list with the reference list on the windows
- Run database scripts to update existing calls so the reference list value matches the original drop down value.
Support can probably help with the script, though it shouldn't be an overly difficult task for anyone with SQL experience. As usual with this sort of stuff if you've got a test environment you can safely have a play there until you get the method down pat.
