I am trying to show the Change ID on a Task window. Placeholder(?) I have tried a few options and been unsuccessfull. I can bring put it on the task window and have it as a hyperlink and it takes you to the actual Change when clicked on. But, what I am needing to do is show the Change ID within a query which is looking at the tasks. This way you will know what change the task is relating to. Any help/assistance would be great.
A Task can only ever be related to a single parent process (in this case Change) so it will appear as a related object (drop down list). If you want to display the Change ID in a Task query simply locate the related attribute called Change in the list of attributes, click the plus sign to expand it and find the Id attribute from the expanded list of attributes.
Drag this onto your query and you should see the related Change ID when running your Task query.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your response. I have tried what you suggested, but the Change ID field is blank when it is put onto the query. The same happens when I test the query. Any ideas as to why its blank?
That is odd, I would probably suggest raising a case with support so they can look at this in depth as that attribute should be populated automatically.
