Thanks for that link. I had the exact same issue and it was resolved by following the instructions in that link.
In my case OSD.Upgrade.exe failed because I had custom files in the "ldlogon" directory.
To be exact I created a Folder some time ago "_install\NewBrokerConfig" with a .bat script, a .xml file, and the ".0" broker certificate.
After reviewing the OSD.Upgrade.exe.log, I seems like OSD.Upgrade.exe scans for all .0 files under "ldlogon" and wants to include them into the new boot.wim image. This causes the setup to fail with "System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException".
I just deleted the custom content from ldlogon and osd.upgrade went through without any errors.
