Sure you probably tried this but can you see if the boot.wim is actually in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\landesk\vboot\. Only error I see is that it can't copy this file to the intended target.

I'm assuming you mean to check on the Core for the file? On the core I do not see the boot.wim but I do see a bootMedia.wim file. I did upgrade Landesk to the latest SP3 last week. Could the upgrade change the name of the .wim file? The bootMedia.wim file is about 143meg.

Hmm, yeah looks like it is now bootmedia.wim. You may need to recreate your pxe deployment script.

Edit: Spoke too soon. I actually have both files so looks like you are definitely missing the boot.wim.

You can get the boot.wim off of the SP3 update files.

I found the boot.wim file in the SP3 update folder. Thanks. This means I have to inject all the necessary drivers again since this is a clean copy, correct? And what do you think might have caused it to automagically disappear?

Not sure what could've caused this since I've never experienced it.

Unfortunately, you will have to inject any drivers you added before.

I don't know exactly what happened but is there anything else I need to do after I replace the boot.wim file? I injected the drivers needed and now it's saying, when successfully downloading the WinPE on the client on the CMD window, resolving core server name (%mycoreserver%)......could not resolve core server.

You mention it happened after SP3... Try this:

Ah yes, forgot to mention that the coreserver attribute in the boot.wim will need to be changed. Doing what Frank suggested should take care of this for you.

I have had a simular issue..

All the drivers where vista based...I had to increase the size of the winpe cache and add the win7 32bit drivers.

After SP3, everything went back to default size..and the drivers intergrated into the new version of win pe..

It caused all sorts of issues, some machines worked others did not....PXE and Provisioning..

                              hope this helps
