Identify more than 2 DNS/WINS entries?

    gillissj Rookie

      Hello all,

I'm trying to see if there's a way to see if we can see more than the Primary/Secondary DNS/WINS entried bound to the network adapter.  We can query, etc. and display the Primary/Secondary information but there are some devices in our environment that may have 3 entries.  We do use static entries on the majority of the devices.  I can't seem to find anything in the community but if something is out there already, would someone be able to point me in the right direction?

Please let me know if you need any other info!

if the information you want id not reported back from inventory you can proceed in two parallel ways:

          1. Create an IDEA on our support portal to ask for this missing feature ( http://community.landesk.com/support/ideas/ ). The idea will be visible to everyone and can receive votes as well.
          2. There is a way to extend the capabilities of the inventory. mainly you can write a script or executable that will be invoked every time the scanning process runs and will be able to append some information to the inventory scan of the machine.
It seems a bit complex approach but once you understood the mechanism you can really get every special/custom value that is not normally picked up from the inventory scanner. This article contains some information about how to extend the scanner capabilities: http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-5730
