What version of LANDesk? Do you have a scheduled task associated with the package?
Thanks for replying. I'm running LANDesk 9 with service pack 3. There are no scheduled tasks associated with these packages. I receive no error when I try to delete the packages; they simply don't go away when I try.

Are you on a remote console or using the console on the Core Server? If remote, there is potentially an unpatched console there. See if you can do this from the Core or another console installation.
Also, check the console.exe.log file in C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\log as that might indicate any underlying errors.

I've also seen cases in which SQL is the problem. Do you have a dedicated SQL resource? If so you might try to restart it.
Normally I reboot the SQL and then the core server and see if it frees the locks. If not then you will have to dig into the DB and manually delete the package.
Rebooting the server seems to have done the trick. Very random and strange. Thanks to all for the feedback!
