Database sizing of volumes of Test Evidence LANDesk (Web Desk)

    eddygrady Rookie

      Hi There,

We are currently using LANDesk Web Desk to manage our Service Desk (Globally) and planning to bolt on Change & Release Management Processes in order to automate Change and Release.

I would be really grateful if anyone could please advise if there is a complete space limit to the volume of Test Evidence in which the database should be able to handle. The evidence would be added as attachments.

      Thanks,

Attachments by default can be at most 4M, you can crank this up to 16M although I think LANDesk advise against doing this on along term basis.  In the past I think ERs have been raised to allow much larger documents to be added, perhaps by the app splitting things up and reassembling at the other end.

You could also consider storing a link to the document rather than the document itself and manage the documents separately.
