MDM refers to mobile device management. The MDM Server is the server that will handle communication between your core server and mobile devices. There is an installation guide available at http://help.landesk.com/Product/Index/ENU/MOBL/9.0/home.html. In the pdf version of that installation guide on page 5 there is a diagram of the communication flow between devices. You will also find in that guide on page 6 the prerequisites for the MDM Server and the Core server for the mobility installation. The MDM Server will need to be on Windows Server 2008 R2. A trial of the Mobility Manager can be found at http://www.landesk.com/products/mobility-manager.aspx. Read through the guide prior to attempting to do the installation as the installation requires information about your certificates with Apple and/or Google to communicate with your devices. It also requires and SSL certificate for the MDM Server. The certificate prerequisites are listed starting on page 6 of the installation guide as well.
Thank you to both of you. Looks like I have some reading and upgrading to do.
