Hi, welcome to LANDesk Community.
Are you using WinPE OSD? Did the deployment finish successfully? Where did you see the "Invalid boot parition" error? On the device screen?
For OSD the log file is located on the \ldmain share on the core server, its name looks like CJ-OSD-TaskName-date.log. You may also attach the OSD script, remove the sensitive information.
We use ghost with LANDesk PXE. when using ghost for IBM devices you have to use the -IB switch when
invoking Ghost from the command line or within a batch file. This
should be done on the image creation. The command line syntax is,
C:\> GHOST -IB. The LANDesk image utility might also have a similar switch but I don't know.
The master boot record on IBM systems is comprised of 4 sectors,
as opposed to the single sector expected by Norton Ghost. Since the
boot is dependent on coding contained in all 4 sectors, the system
hangs when it attempts to boot to the incomplete master boot record. A
"signature failure" error message may also be displayed.
Yes I was using WinPE. The image appears to complete succesful with no errors in the log. The boot partition appears after the image process on the ibm blade.
Thank you, I am not familiar with with that. I will need to look into it. Does the image pull and push get managed by Ghost and Landesk takes care of PXE?
