Yes, as an admin you should be able to schedule a template...You can either select the template and click the schedule template (button looks like a blank calendar with 3 squares behind it), or you can right click on the template and click schedule template.
The "schedule" (button that looks like a calendar) is only available for OSD Scripts and not the templates.
The button will show enabled if you have a template selected...(3 squares will be colored)
Hope that helps!
Thanks Darin... I knew I was able to do it previously.
However... I can see the button you are describing but it is greyed out for some reason? I am loggged into the console as a LANDesk Administrator so I don't know why this is happening. Has any one seen this before? I just checked with another LD Administrator account and that is the same? I'm running v9 sp3.
Are you able to right click on the template and schedule it?
Nope. There is no 'Schedule' or 'Schedule Template' option when I right click either.
I'm going to edit my permissions then re apply admin to see if that works.
Will let you know...
Also check your WinPE activation under Configure - Services on the Core.
WinPE Licence is fine according to LANDesk.
Edit: I have noticed that if I edit the template's properties and tset the Boot Enironment to 'Not Applicable' the the Schedule Template options are now available.
Does that mean it is something to do with my WinPE Licence Validation?
Looks like it was an issue with the WinPE Validation.
There is an entry in the database in the table "KEYVALUE" called "WAIKLicenseAgreement". If you delete the complete line and reopen the console, the Microsoft WAIK Validation window pops up and you can accept again. After that, the scheduling of WinPe should possible again.
This worked for me as well.
