so far this is what I wrote...is there a better way to do this?
spuninst.exe /silent /warnrestart:600
I would write the batch, copy it to a test client, open an interactive Dos box, (at hh:mm /interactive cmd) and then run the batch, if it produces the desired results then you are in business and can create a New Dist Package and send it. **note be sure to test it on a machine with no user logged in before you send out to the masses...
thanks for the tip RD. It eneded up working pretty well I used that batch file and pushed it as a package. But I had about 75 pc's that gave me this error: The client does not support batch file packages
I had an earlier thread on this, see link above. The fix I thought was to run a /F /SYNC inventory but when I did that on two test PC's I still got the same error....any suggestions?
have you tried the batch package after update/reinstall the agent on such PC's?

One of two things are usually the cause,
1. The Agent is old or not installed properly (try to push a Re-install of the agent to one of them for a test and see if it resolves the issue)
2. The inventory scan is incomplete or out of date. (this is the /F /SYNC one, but you need to verify that the information got into the database, after your run that check the "Last Software Scan Date" for that client)
no i havent tried the batch file on those pc's yet that gave me that error. I think RD gave me some good advice though so I am going to have to try repushing the agent to those PC's first and then retry the batch.
Verify that the resident agent service is running after the agent push...
