Not the answer you are looking for, but Office 2003 is no longer supported by MS, meaning there are no new security updates, etc.... Why would you want to be deploying this when you should be looking at moving to Office 2010 or 2007 at a minimum?
I have created a package using this file Office2003SP3-KB923618-FullFile-FRA.exe with a "/q" comand line option. Nothing else.
It s working fine.
For others office 2007 products as MS Project, MS Access, or a full install of MS Office, you have an "UPDATES" folder in the sources path. Put in this folder all news updates files, rebuilt your packages adding all these files and then the MS office product will be install with all these updates.
Hope it can help
Although I agree with that, something like that requires all sorts of stuff. Planning, training and expense, blah blah blah... You're typical micorosft expenditure.
Thanks Gilles for the reply
Did you use Landesk to create your package - using the EXE distribution package?
Apologies I'm very new to Landesk. Just trying to get my head around the workings of it.
Yes of course it is just an exe. Dont extract it.
It will work fine.
