Hi, yes its possible but you actually can set that in the Configure - Inventory History section. Choose to Alert.

OK, that worked, but only to log an alert; maybe I should have been more specific, I want this alert to go by email, I already configured the Alerts to send by email but nothing happens; maybe I did something wrong.
What is the exact process to achieve alerts by email?
You will need to recreate the ruleset with a "Send e-mail" Action. Do everything the same but be sure to add this action. by default all rulesets have the post to log action already in place which is what you are currently getting.
Also check the sendemail.log file in the ldmain map. Maybe there is an authentication error...
