When I run the Distribution package as a scheduled task it fails with "The system cannot find the file specified.". The primary file and additional files are at the file share location.
Thanks for the help.
In the install commands (fig 4), try entering the full path to the exe as well as the additional switches
I usually use the abbreviated 8.3 format to avoid issues that I have at times run into using long filenames with spaces not running properly, even when in quotes.
disregard this one... I was thinking of the patching command line.
also remember that office requires a restart to complete the install most times. you might remove the requirement that it succeed & continue processing the tasks, and consider a reboot task following the install.
I can't see all the included files, but just to be sure - is the msp file included in the additional files of the package? is it in the same folder as setup.exe?
Dave, Yes the .msp is in the same folder as the setup.exe.
Am I correct in thinking that since no one is logged into to the target computer at this point that LANDesk is using the computer account to access and perform these tasks?
I have tried resetting the hash and running the package as a scheduled task and it still fails with the same error. This is with LD 9.0 SP3.
The solution to this issue was dealing with the Preferred Server settings. The preferred server has to have a fully qualified name for the UNC to work. Once the credentials tested successfully then provisioning and software distribution worked. Roy Meyer at LANDesk provided the following link which was used to resolve this issue. http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-20779
