Are those devices ever able to connect? I see that on my iPad a lot but because my MDM server is only on my demonstration network rather than public on the internet. Once the agent is conected to the right network it is able to report. The message appears if the agent hasn't been able to communicate for some time.

I'hav the same probleme, all iOS devices lunch this notification or a RED point on LD Agent if the user don't lunch manually the LD Agent application, if it restart the device, 1 day letter, the message appears.
The message is identical on iOS 5 and iOS 6, the LD agent appear not launch, but on the core server, I receive all scan even the user did not launch the application.
If the user delete the LD Agent, Scan are received on the core server if the user don't delete the configuration profils.
Yes these devices connect fine when run manually but as Joaquin has found it is more of an annoyance message for end users even though the inventory is being updated.
Glad to hear that I am not the only one seeing this issue!
We get the same notification by default...
I've noticed that our iOS devices check in automatically whenever a user unlocks their device. So, the notification is pointless really. Our solution is to turn off notifications for the LD Agent completely from within the Settings App.
That works but has to be done on each device which is a pain but at least it is a solution thanks!
I'm amending my answer here. According to LANDesk, there is a known issue regarding the "checking in" for mobility devices. By default they are to check in once every 86,400 seconds (once per day), but the devices ignore that feature, and seem to check in on their own on average about once every hour.
This issue causes a heavy burden on the core, The "solution" is to ensure that your core meets the recommended hardware settings. See here for the specs: http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-6459
You still have to turn off the notifications on each device, but once this issue is fixed, the devices will not check in as often. (shouldn't anyway )
Hope this helps!
