I'm working with a Dell Optiplex E6430. When the WiFi switch is physically turned off, the Bluetooth device fails to get it's drivers when provisioned with HII. I've confirmed this by leaving the switch on and imaging, which works without issue.
I'd like to make this issue irrelevant to my imaging technicians. Is it possible to force specific drivers into the Windows 7 x64 OS even if the device doesn't yet appears to exist? Once the wifi switch is turned on, the OS looks or the driver, fails, and manual intervention is required. I've tried coping the driver into the LDdriverstore folder to no effect.
Via hii, no. You can run a batch file to copy the ini and driver files to the proper locations so that windows can detect them. The default directory setup in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Device Path. That will allow the driver to be detected by the windows driver lookup.
