We add a security group to the local admin group using the following:
Execute file Action in System Configuration
Target path and file name: net.exe
Command-line parameters: localgroup Administrators domain\security group /add
I think it works the same for a domain user account too.
Hope that helps.
Steve is correct, however, if it is failing make sure that the name is NOT longer than 20 characters or it will fail.
THank you Steve and zman. Just a newbie question should i be putting this in the provisioning template Or on the unattend.xml file?
Personally I do it as a provisioning task, right after a join domain action. Not sure that it really matters.
Also - to add to what Z said some passwords are not useable. Like I had a / (slash) in the password and it would not work. Once you change that it works - bottom line be aware that some characters are not useable as pssswords for your account mentioned above.
