The CE11 database is used by the Crystal Enterprise installation - thats the bit that allows you to schedule the running of the reports.
If you mean the crystal reports functionality where you click the print button in Console or configured reports on WebAccess, you should be fine if you are moving the database only.
Unfortunately I don't think there is a direct upgrade path from Crystal Enterprise 11 to Crystal Server 2008. I recently had to do this and in the end we just set up a new database and added the reports again.
Actually scrap that last answer. After talking to my Crystal gurus apparently it can be done but it isn't always easy. If you are doing a side-by-side upgrade (ie. using a new server) then this doc might help: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-20336. But if you don't have many reports set up then it is probably easier to add them manually again on the new version.
Thank you for the information. We have scheduled lots of reports to be run every month in the Crystal Console. So we will migrate the CE11 database also.
Thanks for the reply. We are not upgrading Crystal 11 to Crystal 2008. We are doing a side-by-side upgrade of Service desk version 7.4 to 7.5.
We will migrate CE11 database also as part of the upgrade.
