          Hi Demetrio,

When you tried to install Avalanche, was you login with a local admin account? If not, this will most likely fix your issue.

If this is not the solution, please provide us with more information reqarding the system, like OS version

            Hello Leroy!

I was login as a local admin. The OS is win7 pro. The postgre sql was instelled. I could add manually the database after this error, without any problem.

            Regards,

            David

What does the AvalancheMCInstall.log show? It should be located in the \AvalancheMC\log folder.

              Thanks,

                Hello Maag!

I copied here what the Avalanche SE Install.log file contains:

                  So the installer runs these scripts to create and populate the avalanche53 database;

Running database script file C:\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheSE\db\avalanche.sql

Running database script file C:\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheSE\db\quartz.sql

Running database script file C:\Program Files\Wavelink\AvalancheSE\db\create_sequences.sql

It sounds like the installer is failing on one or (all) of these scripts. If you login to PGAdmin3 (postgres) can you see that any database called avalanche53 was created? If it was, how many tables are in it?

If it wasn't created then your user is having permissions problems running the avalanche.sql script and we need to start there.

Another option would be to try installing the external db version of AMC. You will have to install postgres 9.1 or MSQL Server separately, but it can still be on the same server. The difference is that you will create the db prior to running the avalanche installer so that might work:)

Let me know how it goes.

There isn't any database. The user has administrator rights so I can't imagine what is wrong (try it 3 different computer (W7, W8)).

I tried to install separatelly the postgre database, but when started the avalanche se installer I get a message to remove the databases and after try the installer again. Why not possible to install the database separatelly?

Do you have any anti-virus scanners that are enabled and could be running when trying to install? Is this on a VM? If so, what type of VM?

If you are going to install the db seperately then you need to use the external db install of avalanche. You will also need to use Avalanche Mobility Center, which is practically the same thing as Avalanche SE.

I disable the antivirus sw during the install. Try VM, try phisical PC but no success.

Possible to get Avalanche SE remote DB install?

                        thanks,

I am sorry but we do not have an external db installer for Avalanche SE but Avalanche MC should work just the same. The same licenses will work so you will not need to pay anything. The other option is to open a case and let one of our TSE's have a look at your environment, they might be able to help you get Avalanche SE installed;)

Sorry this has been such a pain for you.

                          Thanks,
