What's the extent of the device managment are you looking to achieve with your non-networked assets?
The barcode scanner website is located in Data Analytics - Data Translation Services (DTS). If you have a license for LDDA, I'd recommend following these instructions to install it and it's 2 updates. It will save you a bunch of headache. http://community.landesk.com/support/message/93063#93063 What you'll do, and this is just the jist, is to create new or I prefer to Copy and Edit the existing "Barcode Web Form" of your choosing under DTS-Barcode Web Form-All Rules, then Rclick and Copy and Edit. Also take a look at the Data Analytics section of the online help found here, http://help.landesk.com/Topic/Index/ENU/LDDA/9.5/Content/DA/ldda_c_overview.htm I'd suggest reading it through a couple times first, then reference it while poking around inside the console.
I want to be able to keep inventory of all my stock room equipment. mostly high value items are already barcoded.
at the very least, an owner, name, barcode, serialnumber, in or out, maybe some other random fields,
As Allen said, once you have 1 identifier you can scan, you can create a Webform and fill out other important fields manually. You can still create DTS rules also to enhance the data with other information from DB's or CSV files, if appropriate.
