    PSP to Windows 8

    Apprentice

I'm using 9.5 and have several hundred Windows 8 computers listed in the console. I've got a policy supported push set up to run a software install. But everything continues to fail, even after seeing status Task Queued. Nothing ever seems to complete. I have no problems with these on Windows 7 boxes.

Has anyone run into any issues pushing to Windows 8?

      Thanks....

This is the log file from a machine that reported errors. Ideas?

There are some issues deploying software with Detection Rules to Window 8 pre SP1.

As far as I know the detection rules are ignored. I didn't hear about failed software installation yet.

Do your distribution packages have detection rules?

Exit code 1639 is Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help. Is your command line argument correct. The file is coming down and being executed and it is failing. Run the exe with that command line outside of LANDesk and see what happens.

Ah... got it. I wish I had a good list of how to deal with the error messages. Sometimes they are downright cryptic! Thanks for the assist.
