    Help me understand Assignments please

      Hello LANDesk community.

       

      I have a rather basic question. I'm working through the Service Desk Lab manual, and in it you are asked to create PC design processes. I find I understand the concepts of actions (as they relate to objects and windows) quite well, but the manual does a very poor job at explaining what Assignments are, why you might want to pre-populate the Title field, or even why you want them at all.

       

      I understand that the exercise wants me to assign the approval, but what does that have to do with an assignment at the very beginning and end of my workflow?
