You have to create a KPI and a Service.
Then you can create a Metric. Therfor you need a query that queries your required information with the criteria "Within the previous last day". Create a dashboard with a tren chart.
Then you have to wait until midnight. The MI service runs once a day at midnight.

I have try the example on that document and it's work.
But I need some suggestion to make more complex query to set KPI, like which support group that work past the SLA expired time...
