          Luca,

This is not necessarily an error. By default, the LANDesk agent will attempt to find files in its local cache (c:\Program Files\LANDesk\ldclient\sdmcache) as well as the cache of its peers in order to avoid having to download the file from the source and consuming precious network bandwidth. In your particular case, it could just mean that it wasn't able to find that file locally, so it will try to get it from the esuv05.esu.pd.local server. I have a couple of questions for you:

1- Are you sure the client can access the http://esuv05.esu.pd.local/packages/Kodak/Setup location?

2- What type of delivery method are you using?

3- Have you tried sending this task to other clients? If so, what results did you get?

4- Is the setup.exe file self-serving or does it require other files in order to install the application you desire? Make sure you fill out the Additional Files section of the package, if necessary.

            David, i answer your questions:

            1) Yes, the client can access the location and can download it

            2) Policy-supported push and required, once, download

            3) This is the first client that i try to deploy it

            4) Setup.exe don't require other files, it's a packages created with 'inno setup 5'

            Thanks again.

Actually, this is the important line of the log:

              ""

              Fri, 23 May 2008 13:38:08 .\AdditionalFiles.cpp(62): (8DAC4026): Failed to download file http://LANDesk.Gateway@192.168.50.24/ldlogon/FileLists/taskmanifest.192.168.50.24.267.40.ini : (800708CA)

              ""

The file that fails to be downloaded is "/ldlogon/FileLists/taskmanifest.192.168.50.24.267.40.ini" from your Core (under http://CoreName//ldlogon/FileLists/taskmanifest.192.168.50.24.267.40.ini ).

First thing you should do is check if you can hit that path. Furthermore, you need probably to look at the Core's IIS log - find out what that has to say for itself. You're most likely facing either a permissions or a networking issue (though I'd say most likely to be permissions, to be honest).

If you're not comfortable reading IIS logs, open a case with support, and we'll help you along.

So it doesn't even get as far as trying to download your executable - it tries to download the taskmanifest first (think of it as a "The job description" - it lists the files that need to be downloaded, their locations and their hash values) - and this is where things fall over at the moment, and this can have a potential plethora of reasons (from permissions, to Global Scheduler problems).

Also - what version of LANDesk are you on / what service pack?

                Thanks.
