Found the answer, basically the LDMS file needs to be modified in order to export from and older version and import it to a newer one. In order to make this happen, you need to know your Landesk management console version from your old and new server (in our case the old server = 126.96.36.199, and the new server = 188.8.131.52), the steps to modify the LDMS files are as follows:
1 - Export your task/packages from your old Landesk server
2 - Locate the LDMS file from your export, and open it with notepad
3 - In "notepad" click on "Edit" and select "replace"
4 - In the Find what box type your old landesk server version and in the Replace with box type your new landesk server version.
5 - Click "Replace All"
6 - Click File and then Save
7 - Import your LDMS file to your new LANDesk server

This solution is not a supported method of migrating Distribution Packages as it may cause certain issues within the LANDesk database. Please refrain from using it.
