SEPM 9.0 Scheduled Tasks remain active

    Rookie

I have read several discussions regarding tasks that don't want to go away, but I do not see the scenario I am facing.  I have created a simple batch file that runs a few copy/paste functions along with a couple executables.  The tasks are completing successfully and all is working great.  That is, except that the task remains open like it's waiting for the "EXIT" call.  Until the manager releases them, I do not know if the remote task was completed without checking physically.

How do I get the batch file task to finish and complete the "Active - Machine Successfully Discovered" ?

(sure i can cancel, delete, and try again, but that doesn't tell me if the job was successful)

      Why is stuck on Active?

      {Batch File}

CD "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection"

      SMC -STOP

      timeout 5

      CD\

      CD "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\HWID"

      Del sephwid.xml

      CD\

      CD "C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\packages\batch files\Duplicate_SID"

      xcopy sylink.xml "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection" /Y

      REG IMPORT SYLINK.reg

      CD\

CD "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection"

      SMC -START

      ---------------

Again, this works great and accomplishes the task successfully.
