SAML for single sign-on to Webdesk when server is hosted remotely

    Apprentice

      Hi community,

I'd like to ask a question about logging into LANDesk when the server is hosted remotely. Is it possible to have it talk to the domain and authenticate when the LANDesk server exists outside of the domain?

      Thanks

      Chad.

          Hi Chad,

I see you've logged this with Support since posting this, however to clarify - Service Desk only currently supports single sign-on when IIS is able to validate the user via Windows Authentication.  This is normally sent automatically by the web browser but only when both the client and server are directly on the domain.

There are some ADFS/SAML authentication enhancements planned in the future but I don't have any definitive timescales at present.

          Thanks

          Stu
