These are client side settings. Did you copy the html folder to the client after making the changes?
Thanks for your answer. I did NOT copy html files to the client. Do you think if it is done when I deploy LD Agent ? Or do I have to create a task to copy these files to all my clients ?
Thanks a lot !
It does copy them down on a clinet install. If the client has already been deployed you should overwrite the html folder with your modified folder.
Is there any automated mechanism other that a reinstall of the client that would allow you to place the HTML files on a client machine or to make them use the ones on the core server?
I ask because 8.8 SP1 appears to have a broken "Task Complete" .html page that means it throws a runtime error when you try and close it. I've fixed the problem, but I'm trying to find an easy way to redeploy the HTML file to 2000 clients.
Bumping this: "Is there any automated mechanism other that a reinstall of the client that would allow you to place the HTML files on a client machine or to make them use the ones on the core server?" I am also looking to update my HTML and would prefer not to have to re-distribute the agent to our entire fleet. Any thoughts? Regards, Rich
Yes, you would create a batch file distribution package, add the new html files as additional files to the distribution pacakge, and use xcopy to copy the files from the sdmcache\share\folder location to the location on the client.
When you are writing your batch file you would use syntax like this:
xcopy /S /Y newfile.html "c:\program files\landesk\ldclient\html\newfile.html"
