Does anyone know how to tell the last time a volume was defragmented?  I'm working on a maintenance schedule and would like to be able to build logic into my script to determine when the last time a defrag occurred on the system volume, but I am having a hard time finding info on this.  Windows XP systems.

I dont think this is stored anywhere on the volume. Some 3rd party tools may store the information though. It may be best to base the script on the existing fragmentation level rathe than time spans (although that might be pretty tricky too).

Yes, that is what I was thinking.  I was hoping windows might throw it in the registry somewhere, like it does for prefetch optimization, but I have had no luck finding it so far....
