Hi there, have you had the chance already to check these two documents?
How are the updates checked and downloaded on the Cloud Services Appliance?
If you can't have your Cloud Services Appliance checking and downloading the updates automatically:
How to download and patch the 4.3 Cloud Service Appliance Manually
We can access patch.landesk.com via port 80.
We did now manually but we are still looking for the solution to do it automatically
As per the community document, please verify that from the Cloud Services Appliance you can:
- Correctly resolve the hostname patch.landesk.com
- Successfully access patch.landesk.com via http (as you already verified)
- Successfully access patch.landesk.com via https
We can resolve the hostname and access the sites via both ports.
EDIT: Problem is not solved
Hello there and thanks for checking.
I would verify the following:
- Is the device activated?
- What is the current version of your GSB package?
To do so, from the CSA's console, go to Reports > Software Packages and search for the "gsb" package. If it's less than 4.3-1.137 an update is needed.
Then, if the device is physical, I would recommend, if you haven't done that already, to request a usb stick needed to reset the device to its factory defaults. The stick is the same used to upgrade the physical appliance from version 4.2 to 4.3.
Then I would reset the device to its factory defaults, set up the network and see if the updates are detected and downloaded.
If the device is virtual, I would re-download the image and set up another virtual appliance to verify if the issue in the virtual machine you are currently running. Here you can find the download link:
Hope this helps
I checked the gsb package:
gsb 4.3-1.137 x86_64
It is a virtual appliance. So, we will download it and try again.
Your version of the package is already the most recent available, I guess this is why you are not detecting any update available.
To test if the update download works as expected, you should try with an appliance that is running an older version of the package. Maybe you have a snapshot you can restore to verify the patching functionality?
At your current update level, it's correct not seeing any update available.
It is the newest because we installed the patches manually.
We saw that the suffix under System - Network settings sometimes disappears. Then we have to put it in again. Could this be a problem?
