    Distribution package fails to download

    ma92675 Apprentice

      We are unable to send out this package to a test system, any thoughts?  We are running LDMS 9.5 SP2.  It does connect, download one of the packages and starts download the other, I can see an '@@partial@@_' being created, its size grows, but after about a minute, the task fails and the partial downloaded file is left in the sdmcache folder on the client.

      Here is the sdclient_task.log excerpt form the client,

          ma92675,

          Please enable the XTrace logging for lddwnld and sdclient and gather the associated logs.

          C:\program files (x86)\landesk\ldclient\lddwnld.xlg

          C:\program files (x86)\landesk\ldclient\data\sdclient_task##.log

          Here are the instructions for enabling the logging.

            Just in case ...

            We recently had this error, turned XTrace logs for lddwnld and got the following log entries...

            10/20/2014 12:51:41.014 4936 1264 lddwnld.cpp 3750 Calculating new hash for software_Packages\Microsoft_Office\2007\Source_Files\Project_2007_Over_Network_v4.exe since file time changed

            10/20/2014 12:51:41.124 4936 1264 cache.cpp 454 GetFilePrevCountExWork: hash passed in bQyWBDYUdIFs/zRNC9DCZg== and  current hash UdICsJTbDmKCV8u5rbYAiA== did not match

            10/20/2014 12:51:41.124 4936 1264 lddownload.cpp 2167 GetFilePrevCount just returned no file and wrongVersion, so about to delete file

            A simple reset of the package hash resolved this issue.

              From my recent experience, a reset of the package hash is the first thing to try. It worked like a charm.

              Adding my log file entries, to allow this thread to be found by people having the same error messages:
