    Problem with inventory mapped drive

    kevintao Rookie

      Dear All,

I tried to monitor the registry key in LANDesk referring to the following links.

      https://community.landesk.com/support/thread/4773

      https://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-3064

      https://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-7545

It works on all PCs if I issue command "LDISCN32.EXE /L /SYNC" in command prompt. Those custom data will disappear when scheduled inventory was made. Is there anyone has experience on it? Thanks.

      Regards,

      Kevin

The issue is that HKCU is only available to the scanner if it is launched by the logged in user. If it is run by LANDESK itself then it runs as localsystem which does not have those keys.

If you need this data then you will need to enable the scanner to run when the user logs on and disable any automatic scanning either completely or when users are logged on.

Not ideal, but that is how it works as standard.
