First of all are you trying to install a 64 bit image or a 32 bit image? If you are doing a 64 bit image you need to inject the drivers on the 64 bit wim as that is the wim that is called for a 64 UEFI install.
All so can you be more specific about the HP docking station and the LAN9512-LAN9514 USB 2.0. Is this a separate adapter that you have plugged into the dock or is that the model of the adapter in the dock?
64 bit wim - the dock is the HP dock for the elitepad not a 3rd party dock - the network jack is built into it
haven't yet had a chance to try this, but thanks for the link - I'll try to give it a run this week.
The driver provided in the link from microchip.com is an .EFI based file extension; Landesk is looking for a .INF. After some digging, a call to HP, and more digging, I found that the driver you'll need is "SMSC 9500A USB Ethernet Driver" http://www.hp.com/go/ssm
Drivers & Software - HP Support Center. Once injecting the 64 bit INF from that download I was able to grab an IP address and start the imaging process.
Hope this helps!
That one did it!
Thank you for finding this - I had downloaded another one from the HP site that had a similar name but it didn't contain any inf files when unpacked. I loaded this one into my boot image & presto - ip found!
