    NDIS Filter and NCSI

      Hi All,

       

      Recently we are having major issues with staff who use Sharepoint with Office 2013 where Office seems to think the PC is offline, and thus will not allow staff to save documents back to Sharepoint.

       

      We eventually determined that this is because the NCSI function built in to Windows 7 is somehow being blocked by the NDIS Filter that is installed with the LANDesk AntiVirus agent, which we are also using.

       

      The problem goes away as soon as we ping 8.8.8.8 on the target machine, and no amount of testing/changing configuration on our firewall or in DNS has solved the problem.

       

      At this stage it looks like we need a way to completely remove the NDIS filter from the agent configuration, but I'd like to know if there are any other suggestions out there and if anyone else has experienced this problem.
