You may need to log on a client and manually run a patch (you will find downloaded patches in sdmcache folder), doing so you can easily see what's the problem.
That error is normally a failure in the downloading of a patch or an update - it is associated with the Windows BITS Service not running on the client device. is this error occurring on multiple devices or just the one? Is the agent communicating with the CORE server correctly? Is it one specific patch or multiple patches? if you select a machine from the console you should be able to right click on view log on a failed device or check the vulscan log on the machine itself which I believe is found in:
C:\ProgramData\vulscan ( Windows 7 )
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\vulscan(Windows XP)

This is a Windows Update error and first verify the service is running and if not Start it. Also you can try this: How do I reset Windows Update components?
I used to do the easy method of:
net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
RMDIR /S /Q %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv
net start bits
And last try to push the windows updates again.

I would suggest having a look at what patches have installed successfully already as one of those might be causing an issue with further patches. What is the operating system? What patch are you trying to install?

I deleted from client machines and put in do not scan ....how about other patches thy are still comming under security and patch information .....
